Calls Time on His Motor Racing Career
After 6 wonderful years in motorsport, Robert and his advisors have concluded
that due to various economical issues, the time has come for Robert to
bow out of motorsport.
Whilst the decision was extremely difficult to make and has left all those
involved with his career feeling a little empty, Robert leaves motorsport
with very fond memories and a great set of friends. He believes that he
has been extremely fortunate to have had the opportunities in motor racing
that he had and he would like to thank all those who were involved in
his career for all the help and support shown to him and his family.
"Whilst I am of course sad that things have had to come to an
end, I am so grateful for my time in motorsport. I have had the privilege
of working with some of the world’s finest teams in karting and
single-seater motor racing and I would like to thank them all for everything
they have done for me and wish them every success in the future. Motor
racing has taught me a huge amount about life and what measures need to
be taken to reach the pinnacle of a profession and I certainly feel that
I am a far more well-rounded indiviual for the time I spent in motor racing.
I want to particularly thank my family for all the support they have shown
me over the years and I look forward to transferring the skills and knowledge
which I have acquired in motorsport into the working world and try and
be a success in the next phase of my life.” said Foster-Jones,
20.
Rob enjoyed an illustrious career in motorsport, which included two British
Karting Championship titles, a British Open title, a WSK round victory,
and in 2010 he was the only rookie to win a race in the Formula Renault
UK Championship. |
